How can I place an order?

Does Legastat prepare House of Lords bundles?
We constantly prepare bundles for the House of Lords. We are fully aware of the rules, and can advise you, should you have any queries.

What is FTP and how can it help me?
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a service we provide for securely sending large amounts of documents to a recipient that has internet access. Please call David Collings on 0207 242 1045 who will set up the FTP account for you. A user name and password will be required so please supply us with one that is memorable to you or we can supply you with one.

What is an e-bible and how is used?
An E-bible is a collection of scanned documents organised by an index, in the same way a book has a contents page. It helps you navigating to the relevant section very quickly on-screen.

How do I set up an account with Legastat?
On your first order, we will send you a form to fill in. Alternatively, you can fill in our New Account Form.

What is covered by free delivery?
We offer Free Collection & Delivery within the City or a 2 miles radius from our offices.

How can I find out the progress of my job?
Each department has a Production Manager that would keep up to date. For large orders, we will assign a Project Manager for your order that would keep you informed through the production & delivery process.

What is OCR and what are its benefits?
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) enables us to search scanned documents. Rather than perusing 100 pages to find the relevant information, you can type in the key words, phrases or sentences sought, and Adobe Reader (free download) will highlight it for you.

Can you print .dwg (drawing files)?
We can print virtually any file type in use. We can either print to paper, or convert them to a standard image format such as .tiff, .jpg or .pdf.

What assurances are in place to ensure my job will be produced correctly to my requirements?
We are ISO 9001:2008 Certified, we have bespoke order tracking systems in place, BIP 0008 compliance for scanning, and our operators have many years of experience.

When will I receive my invoice for my job?
Based on your needs, we can invoice you monthly, weekly, daily or by job.

What benefits are there for having my documents scanned & OCR’d?
Scanning your documents will enable you to search for keywords, distribute them with minimum costs (email or CD), and store them in our Legastat Digital Vault for archiving purposes. As part of any BCP (Business Continuity Process) scanned documents are an excellent backup if hardcopy stored documents are damaged or destroyed in any way.
Scanned documents also negate the need for hardcopy retrieval of documents and with BIP0008 compliance of our scanned documents, there is an audit trail directly traceable back to the hardcopy thus also negating the need for paper copies in court.
With your paper documents archived offsite and your electronic documents stored within an DMS (Document Management System) you will save time in document viewing, space can be saved from files and folders all in all saving you time and making your business more profitable.
