There is no doubt that the events of the last year changed the way many of us are working. We have seen many changes in working practices, not least, the increase in the home delivery of printed bundles to clients’ homes, as well as the creation of electronic court bundles (previously known as eBibles) to assist with their remote working.
An unexpected consequence of these changes is that – for those of us that prefer working on a hard copy – this can result in a significant increase in paper bundles being stored at home. Aside from the obvious practical challenges that this can bring such as space and storage, there are additional information security considerations of keeping volumes of potentially confidential and sensitive material at home. Without the additional controls that the office environment brings, and being outside of the scope of any organisational security accreditations, you should consider how this information is managed and most importantly of all, disposed of.
So, whilst we may be heading towards a return to a degree of normality over the coming months, there is no doubt that remote working is here to stay. Secure, certifiable, and environmentally sound document destruction will remain a critical component of this and Legastat is here to help.
If we are delivering a paper bundle to your home, we can also collect any old material (just the paper obviously!), free of charge. We will ensure it is securely shredded and provide you with a certificate of destruction. Just let us know when you place the order. As well as providing a much needed clear out it will also ensure you keep on the right side of the information commissioner. We can also offer a collection only and destruction service at very reasonable costs; please contact us for details.
Of course, should you wish to, you could always go totally paperless and review your case material electronically. Please contact Legastat for a free, no-obligation demonstration of our secure eDisclosure platform, Axcelerate and see how we can help you
